Bio
I Have been an artist my entire life, no matter what the genre. My concentration up to now has been drawing and painting and most recently, watercolor, Designing and making Jewelry.
My husband Sam, an accomplished realist painter himself, and I moved to Joseph, Oregon from Salt Lake City in 1998. Being a small artistʼs community we felt Joseph was a good place for us to live a simpler life and concentrate on art.
I fell in love with beads when we first moved here as I was looking for something in addition to painting to fill the time during the long winter months. and charms usually representing the natural world. I mainly use antique brass and pewter for the different components. Because I live in such a beautiful place and surrounded by nature and abundant wildlife, it has become the theme of most of my work. Since I am an artist, my jewelry designs are like creating a painting but with 3 dimensional components. My artistic training comes naturally when I want harmonious color application, composition and technique. I apply patina's various other color medium to add depth and interest to each piece. Because each one is handmade by me, no two are alike.
I hope you enjoy my work.
